First Visit

WHEN SHOULD MY CHILD VISIT DR. ANN?

FIRST VISIT BY FIRST BIRTHDAY... as this is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Dental Association (ADA). It is a fun short and sweet appointment and mostly done in the parents lap with the doctor. We will review eruption pattern of teeth, how to brush your baby and answer any other specific concerns you might have.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE FIRST APPOINTMENT?

Our team will welcome you to Toothbud and learn about your child’s interests and the concerns you may have. We invite you to stay with your child for the entire appointment. Depending on your child’s age and comfort level we will do our best for a positive visit. Your child may visit the brush up station, then have a professional cleaning by a member of our dental team. We will review healthy habits of diet and hygiene with your family and customize our care with your families’ individual needs. Dr Ann will examine your child and decide if any additional services are needed.

WHY ARE FIRST VISITS IMPORTANT?

We use wording that is simple and try to show examples of steps before we perform them on your child. Dr. Ann wants you to share your questions and be apart of the decisions made on behalf your child’s dental needs. We desire your family to be relaxed and hope to establish a positive experience with receiving dental care. We strive to make each and every visit to our office a fun one.
